Sunflower

The USFS has decided that he ideal conditions to start fires is during a severe draught and during a severe heat wave. The forest around us are now closed because of fire danger, Cottonwood, Sedona, Flagstaff are covered in a thick blanket of smoke pollution. I moved to the SW for health reason and clean air... a rarity 5 months out of the year because of the "controlled burns." I think Smoky the Bears new motto is; "Only we can start forest fires." So today's macro is a sunflower to mimic the sun hidden by the smog

Way back, from 1880-1945, people with TB were told to move to AZ for the clean, dry air. Even without wildfires, the ozone levels have made it a less than healthy place for those with respiratory issues.

Very nice rendering of the sunflower. Too bad about the smoke and fires. These now appear to be yearly events. New use of the face masks I think.
