Sunset on the Indian River

I know my images are a little too dark and saturated for most photographers taste. It seem like most like the natural look where as I shoot for more of a surreal look.

I was at Melboune beach Florida over by the pier wondering how the colors were going to turn out. It turns out I was very pleased and had fun running up and down the area for different compositions. One of the times I was not using a tripod(very rare for me). When I was going through the images I was suprised to see how many keepers there were from one night. Most times It's like 1 or 2. It was also fun to see the transition of colors as the sun fell, so I'm posting them in time order.
As always all C&C welcomed.

Some really nice sunset colors in all of these. I like the outward radiating patterns in the clouds for the second and third images as well as the colors in all of them. I don't mind the dark foregrounds at all.

Joe these are all very nice. My favorite would be #1. I like the way it’s composed with the flowers in the foreground.

Hey Joe,

I am in the camp of liking my colors to be colorful. :)

My problem is letting my images go darker in the shadows like you have here. I love the look, as with yours here, but I tend to always want to pull out the detail from the shadows. So I am envious of your work in this series as I need to express more self control sometimes when processing.

What a super cool area. My favorite is also #1. I think for 2nd place I would go with #3. But all of these are really great!

And sometimes it is fun to have the flexibility of running around and being able to quickly take photos without the tripod.

Sometimes it takes me days to process some images. I work on it then set it up as my desktop and pick it apart and go back and fix it. Most times it's either the shadows or colors that bug me.
Some wonderful colors. Letting the foregrounds stay dark really showcases them.
thank you all for thevery nice comments, It's truely appreciated.
