Tadpole Nebula IC410

Last night, there was a break in the weather before the storms came in, so I ran out to Joshua Tree National Park and set up my astro gear. I had 2 objects in mind, the Tadpole Nebula and Leo's Triplet. The Tadpole was one that I had captured a few hours of data on a couple of days prior, and I was hoping to get another 5 hours or so. The weather had a brief period of clouds floating through close to midnight, so it would just depend on how long they hung around.

I had tried to capture this before. Actually I did capture it, but with my new gear, the quality is like night and day.

And just to be different, I finished up the cropped version first, so I am posting that one now. I will finish the wider view later and post it when it's done.

This is just a straight color image from my OSC color astro camera.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

PS. There are 2 tadpoles in the upper right for those whom the Tadpole Nebula is new to you.

Very nice, I love the natural RGB colors, and lots of detail. I will look forwards to the wider view as well, that should be very fun to see.
