I 'm not a B&W guy so I need your input for these two images which will hang on my son's wall. Any and all comments are welcome.
Tell me your impressions of these two images.

Doug, the first photo: B&W Factory Butte is superb, I love the strong contrast.

Both are great images, I have a couple of suggestions for both.
First off the foregrounds in each are perfect. Just the right blend of light and dark.
In #1 Factory Butte feels too harsh and blown out a bit. How about a slight Highlight recovery used just on that Factory Butte itself. Or use Levels and darken the White Point just a hair. Either way it's just Factory Butte and it's just a bit of an adjustment.
In #2 again your ground layer shines. But the Totems feel too dark. Anyway to do a little shadow recovery on them? They might need more of an adjustment then the highlights do on Factory Butte. The white clouds in the sky are perfect and they do help keep the Totems separated from the dark of the clear sky sections, but the darkness of the Totems is making them get a bit lost in the sky for me.
I am being a bit picky, as these are both awesome compositions with the way you worked the foreground in each, but a slight tweak to both I think would be good.

I planned to write pretty much what Jim wrote. Beautiful images.
I agree with the comments above, but I would add a caution. Prints don't have the dynamic range of our screens, the final adjustments need to be made from a first/test print. Beautiful images( I wrote my comment as Kyle posted, your photos are leaving us very limited responses
