Teton Sunset

This was with the sun setting behind the Tetons, so details get lost in the Tetons themselves, but the wonderful outlines of those peaks still exist. I was hunting wildflowers this trip and looking to incorporate them as often as possible into my shots.

All comments are welcome!

Very nice! Lovely scene and lighting. Definitely like the cropped version more. Brings the peaks into more impact and makes the scene feel more intimate. jmho :)
I would probably be tempted to darken the fg and pond, just a bit. Given the sky conditions they feel a little bright to my eyes. Delightful scene nonetheless.

Barry said it well (although I'm fine with the foreground brightness). I'd go with the crop too. beautiful scene!

Composition is awesome, and the tones and colors are a theme we seem to both like.

The crop makes this more interesting for my eyes. Much greater emphasis on the flowers in front and the reflection of the skies just beyond.

I don't often get ehere for sunset, but you did an excellent job. Love the flowers, must have been pretty early in the year.

Hey Jim,

There's something interesting in every part of the frame without being busy. Well done! The ripples in the water, the reeds, the flowers, the Tetons, and the clouds put it all together. If I have a nit, the yellow in the flowers are a bit muddy looking, so I would be tempted to raise the luminance relative to the rest of the foreground, but that might start getting into an unnatural look. Maybe it will work well if you reduce overall brightness in the foreground like Barry suggests.

Both have great appeal. The crop removes an interesting part of the sky but on the other hand it draws the composition together more in emphasising the mountains as there is less sky. I would also go for the crop but it's a nice pic either way with a melange of beautiful elements in shape and colour. I don't find the brightness of the fg and water either. :)
