The Iris Have It

I stayed at a lower altitude today as I was tired of postholing with little photographic reward on my previous 2 outings. This was a trail where I often see moose, but not today. The meadow, however, had dried out nicely so that it was no longer a marsh, but the iris were just about peak with many blooms, some nascent & a small percentage crispy. It was late morning when I got there, so the light was pretty harsh.......then I realized that I had my microfiber cloths in a plastic baggie that I could use as a diffuser. It was pretty funny: I have a wrist strap on my camera body that was swinging into my frame, so I had that firmly clamped in my teeth as I tried to hold the baggie where it would diffuse the light. Sorry, Doug, just haven't gotten around to a shower curtain on tent poles yet.
