While imaging the Maze, I saw this scene developing behind me. With no view of the Maze itself, I still liked the looks of this. The camping area is behind all these rocks.

Beautiful sunset colors. I like the processing to keep details in the distant butte and the cliff faces below.
Just because you are in the Maze, doesn't mean you can only photograph the Maze! 
Good job Ben on staying aware of what's going on around you. Very often we have to be ready to do a 180 or miss the real action. I like the folds in the rock you got here. Very well composed, one would never know you had to find this and shoot this with little notice.
I think this is perhaps better then your actual maze shots you got?

Ben, this is a beautiful scene. When I take photos, I always keep my eyes peeled & ears pricked; wherever the lights are on, my eyes follow; I wouldn't hesitate to sprint 100 yards for the fleeting brilliance of colors in the sky.

Thanks Jameel. A fairly wide angle makes those slick rock slabs receded towards the horizon.
