Wow, what a gorgeous scene with spectacular crepuscular rays. The foreground is so bright that I wonder is this a composite image? I would've thought the foreground would be darker with the sun already gone. Regardless, an eye catching image.

Thanks Mike! I am glad you like it.

This is not a composite image, but asking if it was a blended image, that would be the better question. :) This is a single image. As I recall it was still pretty bright out, perhaps I recovered too much of the brightness of the sun poking through so the ground then seems too bright. For me, the ground seems fine, but I know we all have different preferences as to how bright or dark a ground layer is compared to the sky.

Wonderful capture of some fantastic light! I really like how you presented this one, without overworking or blowing out the light rays. Beautiful image Jim!

Fantastic conditions - love those light rays! Have you thought about a 16x9 crop? I took a look at one with the bottom third line on the horizon and felt like it let the action (light and rocks) have more emphasis.

What an exciting image to view! Man, were you fortunate that this happened while you were there. I agree that it is a bit bright and saturated, but it does have great impact. Fine work, Jim.

Hey Kyle, thanks, and that's a good idea on the crop.
