The Vestrahorn

Visiting Stokksnes and the Vestrahorn was the number priority during my week long trip in Iceland. I was like a giddy kid on Christmas when I arrived and felt even more so when presented with this scene.

Nice job finding an unusual composition for the area. The rocks in the foreground and wave motion work well. Of course the clouds are great too. How was the wind?

Thank you all for the kind words. I think the typical spot for a similar composition is behind me up on the hill. It was low tide which gave me the opportunity to down on the rocks. The water spilling over the rocks was what I was hoping for and I have a few captures the caught it well. But it is the clouds the, over time, moved into this position that gives a nice juxtaposition to the mountains. A little persistence and a little luck and it came together for me.
