The view across Derwent water

I arrived in the lake district (Cumbria, UK) yesterday and will be staying over a week to enjoy the Autumn colour. Here is a view over Derwent water.

Lovely soft light and color, Jane. Not knowing what it looks like, I would sure like to see some of the 'Water' in the fg.

I like the subtle processing here and the colors look like they are just barely getting started. I like the pano but would love to see a version of the first with a little more context to the area.

Shall i just keep adding to my thread, here is an image from today on Grasmere lake
Im still waiting for still water so no reflections yet but a big stopper to smooth out the ripples.

If you start new threads we will have a better idea that there are new images to view. It looks like there is quite a bit of motion in the water but the long exposure makes this work quite well even without reflections.

Nice catch of early color. I like the pano best as the bare trees seem to add structure to the stand.

Commenting on the the 2nd picture. This has a nice countryside painting look. The hills provide a nice backdrop to the trees/color

Very nice, Jane. I really like the last one in particular which is really beautiful in itself and shows how the colour of the bracken affects our Northern landscape.

I really like the last upload except I am not happy with the big stopper effect on the water, it does not appear smooth, simply blurred. It competes for attention with the gorgeous landscape above it.
