The Way to McWay

McWay Falls along the Big Sur coast is a very cool place! Fun to photograph, and quite popular. For some reason the trail was fenced off short of the main viewing area. So while not ideal, I have photographed it before from this fenced off area as it's a good area to be able to catch it all without trees in the way.

This was captured on my D7100 that is converted to 590nm. I only half channel swapped it, and then pushed the reds more for that distinctive Aerochrome look.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Surreal color scheme with this processing. The green ocean is an interesting touch too. Definitely a different way to present this photo icon.

Thanks Alan. Yeah, I thought the way it turned the water such a cool green was cool too. I think technically for aerochrome I needed to get the water blue? Maybe @Amy Nelson knows better? But for this the green was a cool small detail that I liked as it was.

PS. I have missed a few of the Waterfall Wednesday Community Threads you do on Wednesdays, so I felt a tinge of regret by not saving this for Wednesday.... but just a tinge.... :)

Nice! The Aerochrome processing looks great for this scene.
Thank you Doug! Amy introduced me to Aerochrome a while back, and ever since I have been hooked! It seems though that some scenes lend itself better for it, and this one pretty easily converted to the look.
