This is Thors Well. A very moist experience, but well worth it! *wait, wait, WAIT! Click. Whip around a shield the camera with my body as a roller soaks me from head to toe..

Nice capture. Good pour off and a great sunset behind as well.

It can be rather dangerous hanging out on that basalt ledge when the sneaker waves roll in. You do not want to lose your balance with all of the sharp edges on the outcrops.

This is really sweet Aaron! Love that water pouring down, and you have some nice dramatic skies to go along with it.

I have been there several times, and to get that nice water pouring down, it’s impossible to avoid getting wet I think. My biggest issue there is just keeping the lens dry as the water spray as the waves hit the ledge even further down will carry to that area and get spots on the lens.

Thanks Jim, yeah it’s two-hanky shoot for sure. Ya spend at least as much time wiping as you do shooting

Jim, my solution to the wet lens issue is use square filter holder with a piece of plexiglass. It should be clear enough to focus/frame.
Then at right moment, remove
