Those Popping Poppies + Edit

This is from a few days back up by the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve area. I don't usually get low to the ground when I shoot, but I did a little bit with this one.

Wonderful view and good viewpoint from low showing the individual flowers too. Looks a bit under exposed, I'd like a bit more pop to the poppies and clouds.

Nice. I do wish I could see a bit more of that front bunch, but since all I have at home is a single alpine blue bell & a single delphinium (so far), I can only be envious!

Thanks Jim, it could be a bit dark. The orange of the poppies blow out so incredibly easy, but I will double check this one, I processed a few of them and I think I forgot to double check this one.

The amount of poppies there is staggering. Hills upon hills upon hills of poppies, essentially covering miles of ground.

Beautiful Jim.. I only had a chance to shoot poppies like this once before several years ago in AZ.. I cant wait to do it again. Great that you are able to get out.. things are still crazy here.

I like the edit much better. I'm not sure the sky needed to be brighter, but it definitely helped the poppies.
