Thursday’s Task: Color and B&W landscape of same image. My examples below:
Alan, good image choice for B&W and color as well—very nice.I don't do a lot of B&W work so my inventory for this task is rather limited. In this case a scene from the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada.

Doug, beautiful landscapes—love the B&W as much as the color—perhaps more so!Like Alan, I almost never do B&W. But I'll try my hand at this with an image from Aglatha Peak in Arizona.

Awesome choice Doug! I agree with John, I think I like the B&W better.Like Alan, I almost never do B&W. But I'll try my hand at this with an image from Aglatha Peak in Arizona.

Wow! Ben, two beautiful landscapes—love both the B&W and color treatments.
If I am reading this correctly John did specify color along with B&W on the same image.PS. I don’t think you already had to have had the B&W and Color of the same scene. John can correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure you can take any of your current Color only images, do a B&W conversion of it today, and then post both versions?
This will give some of you who don’t really do much in B&W the chance to dabble in it today.
Yes Jim, I assumed members would create a B&W edit of a favorite color landscape if a B&W didn’t already exist in their archive. Thank you for further clarification (I need all the help I can get!)PS. I don’t think you already had to have had the B&W and Color of the same scene. Beautiful set, Ben.
Very nice sets, Ken.This is the first B & W that I thought was better than the colour version. Werfen in Austria taken on a cycling trip 2010

Excellent B&W edits Ken—I agree with you about the first B&W edit being better. Your other B&W edits are excellent as well! This is the first B & W that I thought was better than the colour version. Werfen in Austria taken on a cycling trip 2010

Dan, love both images—a lot! B&W treatment definitely creates a dramatic version. Well done.
Yep, of the same image. I thought that’s what I had said? I was saying everyone could take an existing color image, and convert it to B&W today for this theme. If I am reading this correctly John did specify color along with B&W on the same image.
