Thursday’s Task: Fog or mist present in landscape. My examples below:
Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, AZ
Foothills Parkway, TN

Ben, a beautiful landscape captured––the autumn foreground colors with the fog above create an eye-catching scene!
Alan, two very different but two very beautiful landscapes you've captured. I like the distant fog in the Harris Beach image. I very much like the "softening" of the colors in the Japanese Garden image. Two great images!I can add some for this theme.

Doug, a very beautiful landscape you shared—love the fog and clouds both. Great image! Yes, I’m a retired illustrator/graphic artist having worked 40 years at ORNL and Y-12 NSC in Oak Ridge, TN.Great topic, John along with some superb examples. Here is my contribution. I am guessing that you must be a graphic artist because your lead images are always clever.

Ken, a beautiful set of images you’ve shared. Difficult to choose a favorite, but perhaps the second is my choice—love that the tree!Still on my travels so I only have access to a limited number of images. I am only 20 miles from Glen Affric, where the last image was taken, so may be able to update this one. We had widespread temperature inversions this morning but I wasn't in a location to take advantage of them. Ken

Craig, excellent examples for this week’s task—and each very beautiful as well. If I had to choose a favorite it would be “Washing up a Storm”—but ALL are well composed and edited. Thank you for sharing. Here's a few from some familiar locations...

Jameel, great set of very beautiful images—especially your first and second captures! The Sparks Lake image has it all: fog, perfect reflection, and a well composed landscape! The Mt. Rainer image is very beautiful and well captured—love the row of foreground trees making an interesting border for that incredible fog.Nice task and some fine examples posted.
