Thursday Task - 02/04/2021

Today's task is famous shorelines. This includes landscapes, abstracts, and close-ups for which these areas are famous.

This is a great idea for a Thursday Task Doug! And some really awesome photos.

Sweet shots so far, I love those shells Douglas. Is there a whole beach covered like that?

Really nice images, Jim. During a storm the waves dredge up sand and shells from offshore and and carry them onshore. The shells are the lightest materials so they are deposited at the farthest point the waves reach. At that point the water sinks into the sand and leaves the shells behind in a narrow line parallel to the shoreline. It is really neat to see but you have to get out there early to beat all of the beachcombers to the treasures.

so many beautiful photos. Here are a few of my photos that have a shoreline
Great blue heron-2082-Edit.jpg

Great Blue heron are a staple along many shorelines. Regrettably, you can't look at this and think of a famous place.

Black-bellied whistling duck-2741-Edit.jpg

Black-bellied whistling duck makes this puddle a famous shoreline in my mind.

All lovely, Doug, but I particularly like the shells.
