Thursday's Task - 05/13/2021

Let's go with harbingers of spring (these are the first signs that spring is here. For me, in Arizona, it is either specific birds or flowers.

The very first cactus to bloom is the Hedgehog.

The first flowers to appear are Desert Primroses, Sand Verbena and Sunflowers.

One of the first spring birds is Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Redbuds are one f the first trees to bloom in the spring in AZ

For me the explosion of colors in azaleas. There might be more azaleas in landscaping around my area than rhododendrons and without a doubt far more variation in the colors. Azaleas come out earlier than the rhododendrons and are the first major color show of spring around the Portland/Vancouver area.

This is a challenging theme, at least for me. It’s a great theme, I just have to think about it. :)
