one from virginia from a few years ago. i think it's an old tobacco shed, but not too sure. i could see it from the road, but where i ended up shooting had a tall fence up. ended up holding the camera up as high as it would go and shooting blindly. it took a few tries, but it worked.

This is great!
thanks bob

It worked quite well - I like the way this scene is framed. Is the muted saturation an intentional effect?
thanks alan. i kept having to check and try to redo the shot. i couldn't even see the building from where i was, but it seems like the ground was lower on my side of the stone wall/fence. i love the darker, muted cinematic look, especially when coupled with matte tones. i did desaturate this a little and cool the greens down, though i think i should have also made the reds in the rusty roof pop a little more for contrast. maybe i'll give this another edit.

Very nice result
thanks ben

The muted colors work well, almost an IR kind of feel. You must have been wishing for a tilting lcd!

That is very nice and very much a Virginia scene. I like the muted color treatment as well.

thank monika. i was not impressed with tilting lcd screens when they first came out, i'm used to using the viewfinder. but yes, they are extremely useful for situations like this. my new fuji has one and i've used it twice, which is exactly 2 more times than i ever expected to use it.

Very artistic
thank you linda.
