Time Has Faded

I was in Ouray Colorado yesterday, and while out photographing Grizzly Creek Falls, someone who stopped by there told me there were 4 Rams in the Ouray Cemetery. So I of course headed down there. :) Now this cemetery is one that I have passed by a hundred times but had never stopped at. I don't hang out in graveyards usually, but old ones can be so much fun. Such cool history, and of course the chance to make some old, moody looking photos is appealing.

So I drove in there, spotted the Rams in the back of the cemetery, so I grabbed my D850 with the 150-600mm and also my D7100 IR camera that is converted to 590nm. I got a few interesting images of the Rams, maybe I will process some later. But immediately as I drove in it was the old, gothic feel of the cemetery which grabbed me, hence why I had grabbed the IR camera too. So I spent the next hour roaming around the cemetery taking photos. I am in the Ouray area several times a year, so this cemetery is going to get visited a lot more by me. Hopefully not a permanent visit, but an occasional one.... o_O

That really turned out very nice Jim and IR really adds such a look and feel that really
brings out great details and scene.

Nice image and choice for B&W. Tones are wonderful.
I appreciate that Doug. I had been trying for some muted IR tones, but I just couldn’t find a combo I like, so I went with the B&W conversion.
