Tomaree Head

I climbed to the top of Tomaree Head at 4am on the east coast of Australia with a forecast of clear skies and a goal of capturing the Milky Way. I arrived to clouds obscuring the sky so I sat and waited. A little before the sky lightened, the clouds began to break up and I had a great time playing with the light. This frame includes a thin crescent moon along with Mount Yaacaba on the left and John Gould and Boondelbah Islands.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Very nice Kyle! Now that looks like a great place to be hanging out at 4am. I like the cloud movement with a few stars poking through.

The sky is awesome with the subtle sprinkling of stars, add the ocean and islands, all together make's this a super shot...
