Tree and shadow

In middle New Hampshire there is a group that buys up land for a conservation trusts. They held a fund raiser by having a photo show taken by 4 of us local photographers, one image of each of 4 locations for a total of 16 images. I saw this scene and felt it represented land untouched by local development. They used the image to announce the show and raise money with posters and cards. Photographs helping charity.

Clever shot - I would not have thought to frame this shadow like this but it is highly effective. I like how the shadow extends to the horizon of the field.

We had conservation trusts in eastern Washington when I live there. I participated in the same sort of activity as you describe.
