Hey Michael,

This is a very cool B&W. Those clouds are just awesome.

What I have found because I like to take iPhone shots while I am shooting to document, and to sometimes send to Barry to make him jealous  is that I have learned that if I am taking a certain shot with my iPhone, then I better make sure I take it with my real camera too. There have been too many times I have gotten back home and looked at a shot on my iPhone that looks really cool, only to go back to my camera and find that I didn't shoot that composition or angle with my camera. So I have tried to be more disciplined to realize that if I am out taking a photo with my iPhone it was for a reason. So I can feel you here on this! :)

Had my regular camera in the car but the images I got with it were not quite as nice in terms of the position of the clouds. I liked this one because of light on El Cap and both Bridal Veil and Half Dome were peaking through the clouds, simultaneously. clouds kept moving and shots with my OMD just weren't quite as nice composition wise. (I guess I need to get my iPhone and Olympus to communicate and take the shots simultaneously).;)

I love honesty ;). I berate my wife for grabbing her phone instead of the a6000 I got for her, but then, the dang phones do a good job under certain conditions. This shot turned out great... Mike

Ansel Adams, sez "huh?"
Wacky (good thing) contrast, a few blown out clouds, to bad you can't print it huge.

There is almost no difference in mid-day, harsh light between latest generation smartphones and a latest gen full frame camera with top of the line lens...

for MOST scenarios.
