This week has been a hard week for CO, Started with a fire close to Grand Junction that one was burning for awhile then Monday a fire started in Glenwood Canyon. Come Thursday two more fires broke out one about 60 mi for Fort Collins and the other by Granby/Kremmeling. The whole week I made a point to try and document some of the sunsets...

That's a lot of days with dirty air to have to breathe. The smoke does make for some colorful sunsets as you have shown in this series. These last one has the most uniform color with the deep orange/reds over the sunflower fields.

Lucky I work inside but most mornings I can smell the smoke and last night up in RMNP you could see ash flying around... :(

Great job documenting the fire on a daily basis. The fires are sad, but beauty can come from the ashes.

Yeah, no rain in sight no control and now Frasier is on wait to be evaluated... They also said if the wind changes it could reach Winterpark in a day.... 😢

Nice images! Nothing you can do but document it, so you may as well. That's your expertise with a camera being applied.

I was in Grand Junction yesterday, the air reminded me of a bleak Chicago sky. I know I-70 was still closed as of this morning, but I also notices a lot of freight cars parked on the sidings. Started wondering if the Amtrak California Zephyr was shut down, and also a lot of freight trains. Coming back, I-70 was deserted heading west.. We've got the smoke haze here also, which is no surprise.

Yes, it's been tough on the lungs here in the Front Range. I really like your shot with the sunflowers and post-apocalyptic skies/sun.
