Up-river

On leaving Moab the morning of 30 April, I took a bit of a roundabout route.
Along Hwy 128 east of Moab, I saw this view of Fisher Towers from farther up-river than I expected them to be visible. The heavy sky stuck with me, and in fact later in the morning it rained quite heavily as I approached and drove on I-70 heading toward Green River.
Anyway, despite the gloomy sky that morning, I thought this view of the Towers was kinda cool.

The gloomy sky is very cool Barry, and does add a very nice mood to this different take on Fisher Towers. Good eye to spot this view.

I prefer thinking of skies like that as promising - I'd rather have rain than naked blue. The river is running quite high in this scene judging by the shoreline vegetation. I like the patches of sunlight poking through the clouds.

This is really cool Barry, I have shot the view just a mile or so south of here, but never realized it was visible further north.
Thanks, Ben. Me, too and I didn't either. I caught it in my rear view mirror rounding a bend in the road. Had to pull a u-ee and grab a shot! :)

Oh, I too much prefer this sky to bare naked. Thanks, Alan!
