This is really beautiful Teresa! I can see Andreys idea for brightening up the clouds some, except... that in the case of minimalism which I think you are going for, I would leave it as it is. (minus cloning out the pole)

At least from this view, it looks like your backyard is rivaling Darcy's now. I am thinking the next time I pass through Vegas I am going to have to go visit a few a backyards! :)

Interesting to see this with the more illuminated skies. Much nicer with the pole and wires removed. At first glance I thought I liked the first version of the skies but this new one is growing on me.....

The re-edit looks better, there some color issues though, i assume its because it was not exposed for midtones/darks, so i would probably do a gradient from top till the beginning of the color, either darkening or desaturating the sky, with top being the most affected...

Hahahah, Teresa lives right down the street from me but has a much wider view of the mountains :). You should come visit us when you pass thru Vegas :).

Here's a re-edit. Thoughts?View attachment 3102
I like em both actually but for me there is too much black sky in the first and my first instinct would be to crop it pano style, maybe an inch off the top. So funny we were shooting the same sunset, almost same time & came up with such different coloring. But mine I shot after the reds, when the blue came back out in the sky....I think that is called Nautical Sunset...correct me if I am wrong.

That sounds like a deal!

Of course maybe i shouldnt have suggested to Darcy that she starts to charge people to visit her backyard since she has so many great things to photograph there. I might have to see if i can get a discount now.
Bwahahaha! Yep, you gave me the idea that I just may have to put into the works....retirement is on the horizon! ;)
