Wandering in a Winter Wonderland

Agree with Ben and am reaching for heavier fleece just looking at this. Amazing what the water falls look like with that level of cold.

Glad you have enjoyed this. The cold was emphasised by the overcast grey skies I experienced on this mid-winter trip to the Rockies - very different from the usual sun and blue skies that I have often experienced in the snow up in Canada. Often, in fact, I feel the cold more here in Blighty where the actual temperature rarely falls below freezing point (compared with North America).

Thanks for viewing, Monica!

I have seen these falls thunder during the summer. It is hard to believe it becomes this quiet. Great emotional image Martin.
The contrast with the summer is almost unbelievable - far fewer people about as well, especially in that particular winter! I'm glad you felt the emotion of the picture: the whole week was in deep snow with no relief of light and colour - but a great experience, as we get very little snow over here.
