My starter falls for today is a rework of a trailside scene of the North Falls at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. This is one of several falls in the park where the trail is routed behind the falls. The image was taken in the fall of 2015.

As always pile on with your own waterfall imagery.

I have topped up my waterfall portfolio and the recent rain with a forecast for heavy rain for the next 2 weeks should see me with enough images for a while. 2 images of the Black Linn in Perthshire Scotland. The shot looking down the falls takes a bit of bravery to reach but once in place is safe and secure, I was just behind flattish rock covered in leaves on the top right third. The straight falls shot is hand held with me leaning out and over a fence. It is actually 8 images at 1/4s mean merged in photoshop. I needed to use quite a bit of geometric altering as I am high above the falls and off to the side and I find that using a lot of changes like this leaves the image looking odd. I need to work out how to get a better shot from here without having to use geometric "improvements", I will try using a monopod held below my position and remotely triggered. Ken

Beautiful scenes with the fall colors glowing in the backlighting. I love the old bridge in the second image looking downstream.

Love these both and can't decide on a favorite. Both are fabulous.

I had Minneopa Falls on my list of places to potentially stop at. I was there last year and really enjoyed both the waterfall and the bison across the street. I like your framing and processing in #1. The more earth tone processing makes the bare branches feel normal. And #2 I like that foreground rock.

Are these from this year?

Hey Ken, great thinking with shooting the multiple images and blending them to increase the milky water look. I think the leaves look fine. Maybe since you saw them from their unaltered state to the altered state they seem more distorted to you, but as a viewer not knowing, they seemed fine.

Thanks for starting this Alan and great starter image. Bob and Ken also posted some really great images, and Ken, I am impressed with your hand held technique

Here is my offering. Bridle Veil falls in Provo Canyon, taken two weeks ago.
Beautiful falls and great fall colors - hard to go wrong with a combination like this.

I'm on my way toward Arizona but still in Quebec. I stop to visit friends and family before entering USA. Saturday I stopped in the Eastern townships to see a friend who's also a photographer. We took our tripod on the way. I found this little treasure hiking behind his house.

Sweet little treasure to find along your annual migration - nice falls.
