Thanks Monika for your note on the ice. It was an unusual day as the result of fall colors still in play, with a quick deep freeze on the mountainside, followed immediately by a bright, hot sun that melted the overnight snow and created these ad hoc streams all over the Adirondack Reserve. I'll do a post on it, but I actually had ice beams formed over an inch thick on single blades of grass, and drips of water frozen in time off the edges of grass; as well as beautifully formed "pilsners" dripping off branches overhanging some creeks while the creeks had beautiful fall leaves on the bottom. The kind of conditions that may never occur again.
I really like your B/W treatment of the Orderville branch. I never miss a chance to hike the Narrows when I get out that way. Your image has a classic look to it, and you made great use of the shading, tones, formations and edges. Very artistic.
