Good morning - time for another falling water fest. I will start with some more views of the Sweet Creek area I got to visit last week. This first one is a different view of the first falls along the trail starting at the bottom.

This second image probably isn't really a waterfall most of the year with much higher water levels but makes a nice scene with the low flows just before the fall rains set in.

C&C always welcome and feel free to add more waterfalls.

At the bottom of Slide Rock St Park, near Sedona, in Dec '08.
Derek VonBriesen was kind enough to show me this spot. Ice coated many of the rocks. Taken before dawn made its way into the deepest parts of the canyon. Some dawn color from the higher canyon walls can be seen in the reflections of the creek.

Two very cool shots, Alan, but I really love the 2nd. Primeval is the right word!

I wonder what this looks like now?
I am not certain but I fear for the vegetation up as high as Fairy Falls. The most intense areas on the burn maps are right around the ridge lines just above the floor of the Gorge and that's exactly where this set of falls is located. The given is that the falls are still there - water and gravity didn't really care about the fires but we tend to love the decorative vegetation as well.

I like both shots, but I especially like the lighting and framing in the second photo. The water is perfect, too.

From last weekend's waterfall trip to the north Georgia mountains. The first photo is Horse Trough Falls. Located in Union County, the falls are about a mile from where the Chattahoochee River originates. The second photo is Anna Ruby Falls. Located in Unicoi State Park in White County, the twin waterfalls are one of the most popular and most easy to visit in the state.

Mike: #1 for me, great water flow and Fall color. I guess one of us won’t be happy this weekend - War Eagle! ;)... Mike

Nice set. I really like the delicate cascades in the first image with the fall colors offering interesting details scattered around the scene and framing the falls.

I think I prefer the first one, too. At Anna Ruby Falls, the cascades are usually better than the falls. I haven't edited those shots yet. And GO DAWGS! :)
