The bottom of Lodore Falls. This was a popular location in the 19th and 20thC but unfortunately the owners of the site, a hotel chain, have let the area become overgrown so that the once spectacular falls are all but hidden by the foliage. At the same time the hotel has expanded with new swimming pools and a spa complex. I suppose advertising a spectacular spa attracts more people than a 100ft waterfall in your back garden. I may return after heavy rain and clamber over the very slippery rocks and see if a decent
shot is possible. Ken

Nice shot Ken - I would personally prefer the 100 foot falls over another spa resort.

Thanks for starting this Alan, and you and Ken have both put up some great images.

A more intimate image of one of the pour offs at upper Provo River.
I like the variety of shapes in this tier of falls. The almost dead square one in the middle is a fun contrast to the rest.

Nice shots everyone.
Since I’ll be back at this location in about 5 weeks for spring conditions…Ricketts Glen near Scranton PA
Great one Dean - I have never visited this place beyond a lot of images I have seen if it but the topography and the falls are stunning. I look forward to seeing what you get from the upcoming visit.

A blow hole! Somewhere on the Oregon coast.
I think this is at the "well"
Very cool Dan - You are right at the base of the steps that lead down to the basalt shelf that has the well. This is one of two blow spots in what is called Cook's Chasm not more than one hundred meters from Thor's Well.
