The waterfalls at Cape Horn in the Columbia River Gorge are almost directly across the river from Crown Point on the Oregon side. As it turned out the ephemeral set of falls I saw next to Crown Point were still flowing a few weeks ago. Quite likely now dried up until the rainy season starts again in the fall but I did grab one last shot of them while I was there. The Vista House and the falls are roughly 1.4 miles away from where I was shooting so I used the telephoto lens on my drone. There was a bit of haze and some low clouds lingering at the tops of the gorge cliff faces.

Pile on with your own waterfalls :)

Victoria Falls - not the best composition I've ever come up with but the shooting conditions were challenging (essentially like shooting during a thunder shower) and the rainbow was as bright as I've ever seen.
Amazing falls Kyle. I have always carried a cloth to wipe my lenses when shooting falls in the Gorge but this would be at another level entirely. I love the rainbows.

Back to my Yorkshire Waterfall trip at the end of June. These are from the Upper Aysgarth Falls. When I was there I thought that the water levels were extremely low but on the tv last night they had a report showing that the river had dried up. I always thought that one of the good things about living here was the weather, it was never too hot, too cold, too wet or too dry but in the last few years that has changed. We still do not get very low temperatures or much snow but 100+mph winds, floods and dry rivers are happening more often. Ken

I had a plastic sleeve over the camera and lens and I composed with it over the lens. I'd then wait for a lull in the spray, pull back the plastic, focus and shoot. Then I could pull back, wipe off the lens (I keep a cloth handy too), and do the process over again.
