Its Wednesday so time for another round of waterfalls

I had a shot ready to go for this morning but left it on a hard drive at home so had to process a different one from a trip up the Sweet Creek trail last fall. I liked all the shades of black with the water flowing over the basalt before the sun came up.

Thanks Jim - some of the leaves on the maples are starting to show some color so maybe about 2-3 weeks until that area hits peak color.

I will be in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan for fall colors this year again, so maybe next year.

This is Hidden Falls in Nerstrad Bigwoods in Minnesota from August.

Looks lush with all of the green around the falls.

Here is the Horsetail Fall near El Captian.

Every year, when all five conditions meet: snowpack, valley weather, Modera clouds, road conditions, temperatures ... the setting sun will shine onto the horsetail falls to create a spectacular show.
