been gone for a while took a trip to Aransas Texas to see the Whooping cranes this winter

First off, it's really great to see you back Marcy. I have missed your posts. Second, these are great shots. How much different are these form Sandhills cranes? Do they make the same sounds? I love to watch and hear a flock of cranes.
