Wild Mustang Stallion, 2 Mares, 2 Colts, Reno, Nevada. There were actually 3 mares, but one stepped out just before I shot this.

Hi Trent... Yes these are wild Mustangs. The stallion was behind the colts and mares, but as I was trying to get a shot, he stepped forward between me and his family. He didn't want me getting to close. Most of the wild mustangs are fairly friendly, but they are still wild horses so you have to be very careful, especially of the stallions. I only had one stallion sneak up on me, I was shooting behind my car, and he snuck up on the right side, luckily I saw him before he got to me, and got back in the car, but he did stick his head inside the back hatch, as it was open and let me know he didn't like me there.... ;0)

These look like beautiful well fed horses. But there does not seem to be enough forage for them at this location
