Beautiful shot - both of them.

That's one area I have not visited in Washington and keep thinking I need to get out there. What was the approximate date for when you shot these?

Hey Doug,

These are both super cool shots. Love all of those wildflowers blooming! I saw the link you gave Alan. When did you shoot these? I need to make a trip there finally some year, maybe I need to meet Alan there!

Lovely images both. Esp like the second one. Somehow never associated wildflowers with Palouse. Need to time the next visit for this.

I've always wanted to go there, having seen some great images from Don Hall. There's are equally beautiful. Great job.

The Palouse Hills of southeastern Washington are well known for landscapes especially for abstracts. There are numerous wildflowers here as well. Here are a couple. The first is of Bush Lupines from Palouse Falls State Park and the second is from Steptoe Butte where the lupines tend to be a reddish purple.

Yet another reason to get to the Palouse! What month was this, Douglas?

Beautiful shots, again, Douglas. What a riot of colour you have captured! These certainly whet the appetite to visit the area. I know the Palouse from the point of view of the patterned green hill and never realised there was such a plethora of colour due to wild flowers!
