My contributions for today's winged Wednesday are birds I photographed at Lake Pleasant a few days ago.
A turkey vulture playing tug-o-war with a large carp. Reminds of the last time I had lunch with my brother, Andy. The waiter put the check on the table and I picked it up. Andy grabbed it and we played tug-o-war over who would pay. Andy pulled harder. As he won the Tug, he simultaneously pulled his lunch into his lap. And I said, "I guess lunch is on you today, Andy"
I photographed this double-crested cormorant as he jumped from a dead tree
An osprey flies off with his half-eaten fish
Great Blue heron
Clark's grebe
