I was mindlessly browsing through old images that I had shot with my 100-400mm lens and came across the first images I ever took using it on a Canon 20D. Turned out to be a really big bird on final for runway 28R.

Eric, these bird photos exceeded all my expectations, I don't think I have seen better - these are the best. Amazing photos!

Thank you for the superb photo and for informing me that the California Brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis californicus) is a subspecies of the Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis)
