Eric will be gone for a month photographing birds in Columbia so I will be posting this thread until he returns. Darcy’s exceiient image of a roadrunner prompted me to post some images of roadrunners to start this off.

Roadrunners prefer to run rather than fly. However, Danio Grayson has trained a roadrunner to fly from one perch to another. Dano is the owner of “The Pond at Elephant Head in AZ

My contribution for today is one of the Anna's Hummingbirds that lurk in the arborvitae near a feeder just outside my office window.

One from yesterday's outing at the refuge. Lesser Sandhill Cranes. Sadly, at least for me, they and the Ross' Geese will leave in the next week or so for their journey north.
