Hey Mike,

This is Alabama? Wow! One would never know it.

I like this, very nice work in this. I like the monotone feel to this.

NO NO, this is in the Smoky Mountains. Sorry about the confusion. There are a few places in north Alabama that could have this look on rare occasions but I've never caught them here... Mike

Yep. I fell for it too! I love the swirl of water snaking through the snowy rocks. Nice job, Mike
Thanks, me too!

Very nice Jim. Any idea why they call it Pigeon River?
Thanks, I didn’t know but looked it up and supposedly it was as simple as the early settlers saw a lot of pigeons there and felt the birds liked the area. And your spelling is correct, I typed it wrong... Mike

Very nice image, Mike. When I saw Pidgeon River I knew it wasn't in Alabama so I went back to your title and realized that it didn't really say you took it in Alabama. It is nice to be close enough to the Smoky Mountains to be able to get images like this.

Thanks, the Smokies are 6 hours away and are our favorite place to go. We get up there about four or so times per year... Mike

The stream pools at the right place in the image and it's exit out of the shot is subtle. Showing the snow/rocks along the lower edge really helps the framing.
