Yesteryears transport.

I don't know if Mules were used in Europe and America by the settlers, but teams of them were harnessed to pull trees from the forests in New Zealand, apparently, they were well-behaved intelligent animals and all had names. This photo just shows just two Mules but teams of eight were not unusual, I think they are now extinct, I have never seen one, not even in a Zoo. Is someone going to prove me wrong?

We don't call those mules here in America Jon, they would be called Ox. But maybe it's a different name for a different location. But, Oxen and Mules are still alive and well here in America.

A nice capture thought of a gone by era of transportation. Perhaps in the Amish communities scattered across Pennsylvania, Iowa, etc they might still use some.
