Yosemite Valley On Monday

Three from Yosemite Valley from Monday morning. The oft photographed elm tree in Cooks meadow is now past it's prime having lost many of it's leaves over the weekend. On the other hand, the black oaks in El Capitan meadow now have nice color. The fall color show in the valley is almost over. The final shot a look at El Capitan from across the meadow.

Nice work Jim. It sounds like we just missed each other, I got here to Yosemite on Monday afternoon and started up at Glacier Point.

Nice set - that first tree definitely looks a bit on the sparse side but I do like the scene in the second image. I like the scene in the third although the areas in direct sunlight appear a bit washed out.

That last shot of The Captain is my favorite. Just a little dialing back on the exposure should bring out the detail in the rock. I'd let the foreground get a little darker along with it so that the focus is even more on the mountain.

Nice set Jim.. my favorite is #1 with a few leaves gone the tree is bearing its soul . I think JIm D. Is spot on for number 3.
