Zion Mount Carmel Highway at Sunrise

Before sunrise I hiked up the Zion Canyon Overlook Trail for this view looking out over the highway and into the main Zion canyon beyond. The moon is a day and a half past full and shortly direct light of the sun will hit the peaks and start walking down the walls.

8 Seconds for the main exposure, 4 minutes for just the road (30 x 8 seconds maxed together) to get the full set of car trails coming and going.

Hey Kurt,

This is sure cool looking! Great idea on how to get the lights to go all the way up that road. I have driving by there but never stopped during the day as I never thought about how cool this shot could be in dim light.

I also like the slightly veiled moon in this, and all around great job!
