Salvage Saturday

Here's one from 2005. This is around Jim's neighborhood. I'm basically cleaning up old stuff, getting rid of files I haven't looked at in years. I had processed a variation of this back then, but redoing it with newer updated algorithms in the software and there is so much more improvement. Even sharpening of images from just couple of years ago is vastly improved.

May trying to upsize it in gigapixel to see if its website worthy...

Thank you.

Fun scene - well worth playing around with from what I can see. This is a good time to have been a hoarder all these years with the recovery capabilities of current software.

I really like this one well worth the new effort

Thank all of you who have suggested changes for my image. I am on my way to CA for a few days and will attempt the suggested when I get back home.

Time to pile on with your reworks.

This image from Capitol Reef NP in the Panorama Point area was never processed so this is a new process not a rework.

My habit has been to toss any landscape that lacked clouds. But I have seen many images where the land and color and light were compelling by themselves so I am rethinking that policy. I hope this image is a good example.

This looks really nice Ben.

It seems like we have gotten hooked on clouds, but you are correct at rethinking that, as I agree even clear sky's can be beautiful. Often it's more about the light then the clouds.

Clouds can add great versatility to an image, but often times the clear blue contrasting with strong reds or oranges on the ground can be even stronger.

Oh wow Jeffrey these are two knockout images the factory butte is the best I have seen from
there. Do you have a sky kit in your bag that you can release when needed?

I am away next Saturday so I will post them a little late for last Saturday's salvage. Two images from 2013 Fuji XE-1. Deep Prime just to add a little crispness as well as removing some noise. Ken

On previous versions of the image below I have had to merge 3 files together, this one a single shot.
