Time to pile on with your reworks.

This image from Capitol Reef NP in the Panorama Point area was never processed so this is a new process not a rework.

My habit has been to toss any landscape that lacked clouds. But I have seen many images where the land and color and light were compelling by themselves so I am rethinking that policy. I hope this image is a good example.

Nice recovery on this scene. I like the fading last rays of sun on the cliff tops.

I am running a bit behind this morning and still need to dig up a good candidate for today.

OK - I dug up a scene from 2005 at Hug Point for a sunrise. Back then I was regularly shooting exposure brackets to better cope with my old Canon 20D's limited dynamic range so I decided to see what I could get by running each of the bracketed exposures through DxO and then using LR to blend them. A little bit of tweaking in LR and PS for this result:

Nice recovery Ben and Alan.

Mine is from a trip to Canyonlands back when I was shooting the 5D Mark II. Given the DR, I was bracketing away at the Mesa Arch sunrise. I took one of the shots exposed for the highlights and ran it through DXO and pushed the shadows for this result.

This is the sort of result I have been getting with older images using DXO

That is beautiful, Ben. What a great job?

This is a three-stitch image of White Pocket during Monsoon storms. I have been messing around with this for hours but I still don't like the end result. I won't tell you what I am looking for because I don't want to bias your answer. Let me know your ideas and problems with tihs image.

From a trip a couple of years ago. The clouds were promising late afternoon but mostly dissipated just when you least expected them to.

C&C Welcome

Before my road trip, I had never heard of Castle Valley near Moab. @MonikaC posted some excellent photos of her hike in Castle Valley a couple months ago, which inspired me to look up the location and explore the area.

Like Canyonlands, I attempted to go to Castle Valley twice. The first day it was actively snowing in the valley, so I decided to go back to Moab for the night. The next day was sunny, so I was able to get into the valley. I was the only person on the road here and never encountered another car. My car was stopped in the middle of the road while I took photos. I'm glad I took the side trip here.

Grand Canyon National Park, AZ (March, 2016) Nikon D810 Re-edited RAW file and used DEHAZE slider control for hazy features and worked with color and shadows.

Neat looking scene to play with. Lots of variability with personal tastes for colors but I will take a stab.

Not easy to tell diddling around with a jpg file but my edits (in ACR) would as follows:

HSL color - Overall Clarity -11; for Saturation drop the Blue saturation by -23 and Red by -16; Luminance - drop Orange by -31, Green -15, Blue +8, and Purple -9.

I tried playing with this and my attempts were similar (but not exactly) to what Alan listed above. In addition I also desaturated the cyans from the blue channel so give the sky a more natural feel. I also messed with the blown sky to add some texture from other parts of the sky.

This is a rework of an image I took a few years ago from the Grinnell Glacier Trail. I've struggled with the contrasts and tones in this one, but feel like it is getting close. Any thoughts are welcome.
That's some tough light and you did a pretty good job with it. Not sure I would wish to change it at all.
