Love the thoughts Amy! Trees are pretty smart, I know I always enjoy sitting next to one and relaxing... well until the ants start crawling up my legs...

I would suggest darkening the lighter parts of the sky, I think a complete dark sky would make the image stronger.

I was ready to proclaim it perfect until I read Jim’s comments. Now I will wait and see what others say. Maybe it’s only near perfect:p

Yes, it does make it stronger and is more typical, but not exactly what I was after. I was leaning towards a different feel, more of a dreamy indian summer look.

Thanks for the original Amy. I really really like that.

If I can say it, I don't think #1 feels dreamy. Perhaps this is just not the image to create a dreamy image because it has such strong contrast?

But... I will say you have me thinking... What kind of image makes itself a good candidate for a dreamy image, and what makes an image look (feel) dreamy. I know I would be curious as to other peoples thoughts.

I like the first one with the lighter skies and is does feel more like a dreamy mood at least to me. The second one is neat for being more contrasty but since I get to choose I'll go with the lighter version.
