Always looks fake, when layer masks are used. Or, maybe I should say I have never seen them used correctly.

Why are the reeds on the left getting so much light? Looks like a layer mask in PS. That never works.

There is no focal point. Without one, no photo is successful.

I hope you are not getting angry at me, but once again I see PS layers. The whites are too bright. It is especially evident in the water, and that snow band on the bottom left. Other than that, a lovely photo.

Agree, and you are correct. This pic is just not how I think my eyes would have seen it. Midtones look too open.

Hi Jim, I've looked, but see no halo in the reflection of the sun. What I see is what water looks like, when it is blasted with light. I'm interested in learning how to use Photoshop masks. Maybe I will get smart enough to do that someday. I'm using the Panasonic 4/3 camera, since you asked...

Only went there once. Decided it was impossible to shoot. Nothing compares to the experience. But I still think this is overly sharpened.

Look at the bottom left and tell me it is not blurry.

Nice, but overly sharpened. I don't think there is a way to take pictures like this without light on the Canyon.

Next pic will be soft. But, in focus, of course. It is impossible for me to take or show a photo that has a technical flaw such as out of focus.
