About 3-4" of snow down in town meant 14" in the foothills. I'v had my eye on this herd for a couple of weeks, and thought that the fresh snow would set them off nicely.

As I was driving back from the buffalo herd, I had to do a U-turn to shoot at this other ranch. Somehow, this one reminded me of my former neighbors not-to-bright Irish Setter that would come around to my house regularly.

These 2 decided to go at it & put on a show for us.

With apologies to Dan Fogelberg......... I liked the contrast between the white & brown bison, so thought I'd try it in B&W.

I went back to the bison herd with the white bison. Much of the snow had melted & the road in was easy (lots of passenger cars were going in & out). A little tongue action on the 2nd one.

At a bison ranch a few hours' drive from home. There was a road along the southern border of the ranch that I initially thought was a private ranch road, but after I turned around & looked again, I think it may be a public road. Nevertheless, it was not one I wanted to drive down in the RAV4...

Hiking with my dog outside of Bend, OR, the day after it finally warmed up above freezing. This is a beautiful trail with many cascades/waterfalls. Mountain bikes are allowed uphill only. This is some detail in the creek.

Clouds were heavy to the east, so blocked any light from sunrise, but the clouds were dramatic enough over the mountains that I shot this vertical pano. Winds were gusting to 60mph, so keeping things steady as I was standing on my roof rack was kind of a challenge.
