In the aptly named valley. One of my whirlwind road trips at end of November 2014. Covered Bryce canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon. I tend to do these on a whim and alone, easy for me to do "Let's see where this road goes..." type of adventures. The sunrise...

Rare to have the DV dunes to yourself and 3 other people...it was my lucky day. Very few footsteps, peaceful. Using the 70-200 on this one, hmm...I should go on that dune, so set the camera on timer to take shots every 1 min while I walked over to the dune...it was lot farther than I...
