Skiing Selfie!

I couldn't find a partner yesterday, and was sorry to worry my wife, but had to hit the blue-bird day with cold temps and recent bit of powder. Avy danger was low and I went to one of my old favorites that isn't far back. My first day using the drone to shoot skiing, which is one of the main reasons I got the thing. Had to use the active track function, which worked pretty well, but not perfectly. Made 4 short runs in the good snow up high, then one long one back down. One of my best days in the last couple years. Posted 1080 so go to full screen HD for best viewing.

This is amazing Jim!

I don't know what that Active mode is, what is that? Isn't there a mode where the drone can follow you too?

Great job on giving a new name to a selfie, and great job skiing too! :)

Nice track sequence - and some really nice snow to play in.

BUT - I have questions about what I just watched. How does the drone make decisions regarding what altitude to fly above you while you are playing in the Steep and the Deep? There appear to be decisions being made on how to best fly above you to shoot the video.

Is this the result of video editing with the footage the drone shot or how the drone is programmed to follow the active track function?
