Thanks guys. When we first bought this house the lack of a lawn was one of the big attractions for me - no mowing - more back-country play on weekends. I've been amazed over the last 20+ years how I've slowly morphed into a "yard guy." We still don't have any lawn, but we've planted $$$ of plants and I baby them like children, this maple being my favorite (it was here, but I've been forming it over the years).
First unspoiled snow is always neat.

I presume that is a weeping maple. It makes a great statement with its beautiful lines.
